What this site is

CBX Apparel was a clothing label that ran from 2019 to 2025. It is closed. This site is what remains of it: the photographs, the garments, the line sheets and the story of how it went. It is a record, not a shop.

Reading it is the whole of what you can do here, and these terms are correspondingly short.

Nothing here is for sale

There is no shop, no cart, no checkout and no account. Nothing on these pages is an offer to sell, and nothing you do here can create an order. Prices shown in archived material are historical — they are what something cost at the time, not what anything costs now. Links that once led to the store now land on the story instead.

If a third party is selling something using the CBX name, it is not us.

The work on these pages

The photography, the garment designs, the graphics, the text and the layout belong to Charlie Bieger. The CBX Apparel name and mark do too.

You are welcome to look, to link to any page here, and to quote a line or two with attribution — that is what a public archive is for. You may not reproduce the photography or the designs as your own work, use the name or mark in a way that suggests the label endorses you, or present any of it as a current commercial offering.

Where a garment carried a collaborator’s artwork, that artwork remains theirs and is shown here by arrangement.

Accuracy

This is a retrospective assembled after the fact, from photographs, notes and memory. Dates, materials and details are given as accurately as they can be reconstructed and may still be wrong. Nothing here should be relied on as a specification or as a statement of what any garment is made of today.

Typefaces and analytics

This site loads a typeface from Google Fonts and counts visits with Google Analytics. Both disclose something about your browser to Google, and the privacy policy on the other tab explains exactly what and how to stop it.

Availability

This is an archive kept up by one person. It may be moved, rewritten or taken down at any time, without notice and without anything being owed for it.

No warranty, and what can be claimed

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, Charlie Bieger is not liable for any damages arising out of your use of it. This is a free archive of a closed label; there is no transaction here for a claim to attach to. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

What this site collects

We use Google Analytics to count visits — how many people read the story, how far they get, roughly where they are. It is the only analytics here. There is no advertising, no advertising pixels and no tracking of you across other sites, and Google Analytics' advertising features are switched off.

Where you are decides how we ask. In the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland a small notice appears on a first visit, and until you choose Accept no Google code is downloaded, no request reaches Google, and nothing is written to your browser. Everywhere else analytics runs from the first page view, disclosed here instead of behind a pop-up, and one click below turns it off for good.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it counts as a decline, you are never asked, and the signal is re-read on every visit — so turning it on later stops analytics even if you had accepted before.

If you do accept, Google receives your IP address, the pages you view here, and general device and browser information, and sets identifiers that recognise a returning browser. It acts as a service provider; its practices are at policies.google.com/privacy. Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage as ga-consent and nowhere else.

What this site does not do

There is no shop, no cart, no checkout and no account. Nothing asks for your name, your address or your card. The old store is closed, and its links land here instead.

Typefaces

EB Garamond is served by Google Fonts. Your browser fetches it from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which discloses your IP address and browser details to Google. That happens whether or not you accept analytics, because the page cannot be set without it.
